WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. Each upgrade also boosts the random substatus.

The more modernized gear generally has a higher trade value, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or has a high stat variation (like eth titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as useful for the latter due to the need to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be applied to Enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear current, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader each couple of weeks.

Upgrades can cost more based on the level of the item but they will always be cheaper than purchasing new gear. For example, upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to 385 ilvl will cost 20 recycle points while purchasing the same item from a different player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used for tools, armor, weapon, and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players from item upgraders NPCs for a variety of currencies.  item upgrades Casesgg  are also available on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be applied to any tool, weapon, or armor. button, which will display an item's preview at the next upgrade level in the event that the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrading is based on the item slot and current item level and the weapon's price is higher than gloves or bracers for example. Each step costs 15 Flightstones and a number of crests, with certain upgrades offering discounts to lower the cost of Flightstones or crests that are used. After an item has been upgraded to a certain degree it is able to be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower cost.

Upgraders for items can be found at many locations including the main island and some outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade coupon and the possibility of obtaining an entirely new recipe. The upgrade discount increases as more items are upgraded. It can also be increased by having players finish certain achievements or quests.

Unlike Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II, there is no upgrader for items available at the beginning of Icewind Dale. The NPCs who are able to facilitate upgrades are only available via a variety of ways. This is both a benefit as well as a disadvantage.

In Season 3, several new features were added to the upgrade system. When a player has an upgrade to a specific level of an item for a specific armor slot, upgrading other items to that same item level will cost less even in the event that they belong to a different gear set.

The discount applies to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed to upgrade is reduced also, but is only available when certain milestones are reached.

Crests

When upgrading equipment in WoW players have a couple of choices. They can make use of Flightstones which are a general upgrade currency that is available to everyone players, or crests, which are more specific and consumed during upgrades at specific levels of items. Crests are an integral part of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System, which was introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.

The first thing to remember is that crests can only be spent on gear of a specific rank, and that each rank has different requirements for upgrading. The simplest and simplest upgrade process costs just 15 crests while the more complex one requires as many as 20 crests based on the type of gear that is being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through completing content at the appropriate level. This could be by engaging in outdoor activities or taking on dungeons and raids of all difficulty levels to obtain lower-level gear or Mythicbosses for raids, or dungeons with heroic difficulty for gear in the endgame. Crests can be exchanged at an item upgrader NPC, such as Cuzolth in Dornogal, or Vaskarn in Valdrakken, for the appropriate upgrade pathways and steps.

The use of these currencies isn't that difficult however, the system does introduce some changes to the overall upgrade process. Once a piece of gear reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it is no longer required to purchase Flightstones. This change is designed to allow players to upgrade their equipment to the highest ilvl possible on all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.

It's also crucial to choose crests wisely, as they only have one use. It is recommended to use your Whelpling-rank crests on the best gear that you can find, and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next set of upgrades. This is especially true for items like rings and trinkets that take up multiple slots on the character that will be able to avail the discount for all accounts when all of the slots are full of high-quality gear.
